TEMPERATURE ZONES
This chart, not really applicable for the United Kingdom, was developed by the United States Department of Agriculture. They show the minimum temperature clematis will tolerate and we include it to assist any overseas readers, particularly those in the USA, who are concerned about the hardiness (or not) of clematis. Remember that extremely late, prolonged and hard frosts will prune your plants for you and the early flowers will not appear, though they will flower later on. Winters in the UK are not hard or lengthy enough to do this, but winters in parts of the USA are.
This chart is for information only - Please Note: We Do Not Do Mail Order.
